The Grand Opening

Lifestyle opens its new showroom at JSWB Shanghai

Lifestyle Enterprise, Inc., a major US furniture supplier, held an opening ceremony for its brand new Asia-Pacific operations center and exhibition center in Shanghai on June 25. The company marked the occasion by proclaiming its goal of reaching two billion US Dollars in operations by 2024.

The exhibition center covers 3400m2 of land and has three floors. Floors 1 and 2 are sofa display areas, while the third floor features case goods. The entire building is decorated in Lifestyle's exclusive Forbidden City palace style, a magnificent display costing some US$30 million to create.

Lifestyle founder William Hsieh selected Shanghai as its Asia-Pacific operations center primarily because

  1. China is the world's great furniture-producing nation, and Shanghai is the gateway to China;
  2. Lifestyle will have the newest and largest exhibition center in all of China as its close neighbor, just 10 minutes by car. The Hongqiao Hub will be a global focal point for exhibitions, including the Canton Fair and the Shanghai China International Furniture Expo, both of which will move there in 2016; and
  3. Shanghai is a staging ground for expansion in the mainland China market.

Lifestyle built its Forbidden City showcase facility in High Point in 2000, achieving 50% growth for seven years running. Now, with the addition of the Shanghai exhibition center, we will be equally ready to serve East and West, meeting the demand for furniture around the world.

Joining this grand opening were 650 distinguished guests from 26 countries. The USA has the largest turn out with 150 customers including major accounts such as Rooms to Go, American Signature (Value City), Slumberland, W.S. Badcock, Haynes Furniture, Gardner White, The Room Place, Schewel's Furniture and many more.

In his welcoming remarks, Global CEO James Riddle noted, in the past, everyone thought William Hsieh and the Lifestyle Company was crazy for having so many shows around the world, however, no that Lifestyle continues to grow in spite of global recessions. Customers around the world now refer to Mr. William Hsieh as a great magician that's the reason America and world have so many guests for this Forbidden City Shanghai Grand Opening.

One of the many highlights of this grand opening was Lifestyle awaiting awarding a free Tesla Model S to a lucky guest at the wrap up even after many tours and events.
